Mr. Ralph Wayne Miller, 70, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at MUSC Florence after an illness.

A graveside service for immediate family (only due to Covid) will be held at Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm, conducted by Cooke Funeral Home.

Wayne was the son of the late Ralph “Buddy” and Evelyn Barfield Miller. He attended Bear Swamp Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and papa. His family was most important in his life. Wayne served our nation as a decorated Army Ranger and a Vietnam War Veteran. He was a positive, energetic and hardworking man who enjoyed his career as a builder/contractor.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois Ann Miller; daughter, Mitzi Miller; son, Donnie (Lisa) Miller; grandson and best bud, Finland Miller; sisters, Nancy Dickens, Debbie (Jerry) Capps, Sandy Edwards, Sherry (Butch) Hinson; Rosemary (Kenny) Daniels, Susan Herring; a brother, David (Mary Carol) Miller; as well as many special nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James “Clinker” Miller, and Richard “Bird Dog” Miller; and granddaughters, Miika Morley Miller, Luca Susan Miller and Isabella Ann Miller.
