Mr. Van Buren Arnette, Sr.

Mr. Van Buren Arnette, 92, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Greenbrier of Fairmont, NC after an illness.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Oakdale Baptist Church, Fairmont, NC. The Burial will follow at the Marietta Cemetery, Marietta, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Cooke Funeral of Lake View.

Mr. Arnette was born in Robeson County, the son of the late Benjamin and Fannie Ford Arnette. He was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War ll. Mr. Arnette was a member of the Twin State Twisters.

Surviving Mr. Arnette is a son, Van Buren Arnette, Jr. (Christy); a daughter Patricia Arnette Sealey; two grandchildren, Stuart Sealy (Mindy) and Brooke Arnette ( Wesley), three great grandchildren, Emma And Abby Sealy, Liam Hooks; two sisters, Gaynell Melton and Grace Smith; special friends, Wayne and Peggy Putman, Page Spivey and Michael Sutton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Patricia and Van Buren would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful ladies at Greenbrier for their love and care for our daddy.

Mr. Van Buren was preceded in death by his wife Ms. Laura Arnette.
