Thelma Gray

Mrs. Thelma Gray died Monday, October 16, 2023, at MUSC Florence Medical Center, holding her daughters’ hands and surrounded by her grandchildren.

The family will have a private funeral Friday at 3:00 at Lake View Perpetual Cemetery and a private visitation Thursday October 19, from 6 to 7 pm at Cooke Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gray was born in Aynor SC, the daughter of the late Henry and Nettie Maude Dimery Turner. She worked in Housekeeping at South of the Border.

She is survived by her daughters, Eva Mearl Nobles and Marjorie Gray; brother, L.D. Dimery; sisters, Flora Jean Turner, Vera Turner and Esther Jacobs; grandchildren, Tiffany Gray, Coty Gray, Karla Gray, Chad Nobles, Jessica Lucy Nobles, Celena Nobles; great grandchildren, McKinley, Kannon, Dylan, Halie, Layla, Matthew, Chandler, Lucas, Kennadi, and Raylee; and great great grandchildren, Peyton, Madison, and Carson.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, William H. Turner and Wilford J. Turner, and a great granddaughter, Faith Nobles.
