Mrs. Susan Moody died May 16, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Florence after an illness.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, May 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Bermuda Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service.

Mrs. Moody, affectionately known as “Sam”, was born in Marion County, the daughter of the late Robert and Elaine Miller Moody. She worked with Miller Plumbing and Electric for over 35 years. She loved traveling, going to the beach, and taking pictures. She loved her family and her work family, her cat “Rascal”, and her fur grand-dog Max.

She is survived by her Uncle, Terry Miller (Mary); Cousin, Sherry Elvington (Johnny); Jessica E. Kampka (Derek) and their son, River Johnny Kampka; Brother-in-law, Danny Norton; Cousins, Rita Graham (Neil) and their children Collin, Nathan (Sasi) Graham; Cousins, Mike Forster (Tonya) and their son; Braxton and Mark Forster (Daphne) and their twins, Wyatt and Gemma; Uncle Mike Forster; and very special friends, Doug and Debbie Miller and their family; “special grands to Sam”, Ivey Rose, Hudson, Layla, Kadence, and Kinlin.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her Sister, Cindy Norton; Grandparents, Braxton and Lula Mae Miller, and Robert and Annie Wiggins Moody; Aunts, Anna Moody, Carolyn Miller Fowler and Betty Miller Forster; and cousins, Jerry and Terry Fowler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church and the Gideon's.
