Steven Lynn Turner

Mr. Steven Lynn Turner died Monday, September 5, 2022 at McLeod Hospice House of Florence after an illness.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, September 7 at 3:00 pm at Turner Bass Family Cemetery, 151 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 Wednesday, prior to the funeral, at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.

Mr. Turner was born November 3, 1962, in Lumberton NC, the son of late Gary and Shirley Walters Turner. He loved playing music, where he played for friends, churches, nursing homes, and at one time was the guitarist for the band, “Natural High”, that played at many events in the area. He also was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt and Nascar Racing

He is survived by his daughter, Mistie Rogers (Nash); brother, Gary Wayne Turner; sister, Carol Ann Powers; grandchildren, Lakyn and Skylyn Rogers; 1 niece; 4 nephews; and a special friend, Brookie Speer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie T. Turner and his brother in law, Ricky Powers.
