Mrs. Shirley Grey Flowers Campbell died Monday, May 18, 2020 at Carlyle Senior Care of Fork, after an extended illness.

A graveside service will be Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church of Council, NC.

Mrs. Campbell was born June 24, 1935 in Lumberton, NC, the daughter of the late Calvin and Sadie Faulk Flowers. She was a 1954 graduate of Orrum High school and a member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church. She was well known in the community for her squash pudding and banana nut bread. She loved people, her family and her church.

She is survived by her children, Samuel Garland Prevatte, Jr. (Patsy) and Shirlene Prevatte (Kim Borselli); 3 grandchildren, Samuel Garland Prevatte, III (Stephanie), Donna McLain Hopkins (Evan), and Sean Winston McLain (Heather); 4 great grandchildren, Caleb Jones, Jacob McLain, Kaitlyn McLain and Aiden Grey Hopkins; brother, Gene Flowers (Frances); many nieces and nephews; 2 step children, Kenny Campbell (Donna) and Butch Campbell. 6 step grandchildren; and 6 step great grandchildren

She was preceded in death her husband of 27 years, Samuel Garland Prevatte, by her husband of 11 year, Billy Maxwell and by her husband of 12 years, Algon Heath Campbell. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille Flowers Rouse; and 3 brothers, Delane Flowers, Edwin (Buddy) Flowers and Jimmy Flowers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bloomingdale Baptist Church.
