Rosier Lee Powell

Mr. Rosier Lee Powell died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at his home in Lake View after an illness.

A funeral service will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Kemper Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Kemper Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cooke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm, at the church, 1 hour prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Powell was born in Columbus County, the son of the late Lennon and Gertrude Merritt Powell. He was a veteran of the US Air Force.

Mr. Powell is survived by his wife, Ernestine Powell; sons, Bobby Powell (Victoria), Ronnie Powell and Richard Powell; daughter, Louise Edwards (Ed); step children, Jean Herring, Becky McDonald (Randy), Larry King, Steve King (Tammy), Faye Welch (Alan), Phyllis Owens, Angie Rogers (George), Gwen Miller (Chuck), Susan Grant (Kirby), Jamie King (Susan), Dan King (Heather); 25 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and sisters, Faye Howd and Mary Ruth Brown.
