Rometer Miller Bailey

Mrs. Rometer M. Bailey, 93, died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at her home in Lake View SC after an illness.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, February 6 at 2:00 pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hayestown Cemetery, directed by Cooke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday at 1:00 pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church, prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Bailey was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Rochelle and Lizzie Lane Miller. She was a long time member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, William Rochelle Bailey (Joe); daughters, Marie B. Grainger, Betty B. Arnette, and Mattie L. Bailey; brothers, Brantly Miller (Peggy) and Carlos Miller (Joyce), both of Red Springs; sister, Nellie Flowers; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Lester Bailey, and son, Thomas Lester Bailey.
