Norma Dale Kissam

Mrs. Norma Dale Kissam “Dolly”, age 87, of Fairmont passed away on February 14, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 19, 1937, in Robeson County.

A funeral service will be Sunday, February 17th at 3:00 p.m. at Oakdale Baptist Church of Fairmont with burial to follow at Floyd’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church at 2:00, prior to the funeral service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fleming and Nora Bass; husband, Hubert Kissam: and a grandson, John Ross Kissam.

She is survived by sons, Hugh Kissam (Tracy) and John Wyman Kissam (Brenda); two daughters, Gina Jaquess and Holly Miller (Chris). She was the grandmother to Ashley, Dustin, Jade, Ryan, Casey, Shane, Meagan, Anna, Cutter, Riley, Dalys and Aleigh; and the great grandmother to Rivers, Lakes, Banks, Dawson, Reese, Cayden, Chelsey, Briar, Aubrey and Mason; and a great great grandmother to Riley Rose. She also leaves behind two special friends, Mrs. Dorothy Wheeler and Mrs. Marlene Toward.

Mrs. Kissam was a faithful member of Oakdale Baptist Church, where she served as a nursery worker for over 50 years. She loved to sing in the church choir and shared her talents with the community when needed to sing for weddings and funerals.

Mrs. Kissam was a loving mother and sister to Lamery, Alfreida, Elease, Laura Lee and Ovelia. She leaves to cherish her memories with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
