Mrs. Nellie Page Miller, 85, died on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at her daughter’s house in Lake View, SC. She was born on May 5, 1939, to the late Boston Page, Sr., and Natalie Thompson Page.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View. The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm at the church, prior to the funeral service.
Nellie loved her family unconditionally and was a strong and giving mother. She took immense pride in her home, especially her yard, where she insisted on taking you on a guided tour with descriptions of all her flowers, bushes, and trees with their full history. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake View, SC. She was a secretary to the administrator of Saint Eugene in Dillon and later to the Human Resources Department Director until she retired.
She is survived by her two children, Timmy Miller (Tina) and Penny Ray Hayes (Kenny); three grandchildren, Daniel Miller (Tracy), Matt Miller and Casey Hayes, three great grandchildren, Shane Miller, Elizabeth Miller, and Lillian Miller; two brothers, DL Page (Linda) and Boston Page, Jr. (Margaret).
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jimmy Ray Miller; son, Jimmy Miller; granddaughter, Leigh Anne Hayes; brother, Jack Page; and sisters, Alvinia Allen, Evelyn Smith, Alice Jackson, Pauline Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View, SC.
