MILDRED CAULDER HAYES

Mrs. Mildred C. Hayes died Tuesday, July 4th, 2023 at her home after an illness.

A funeral service will be Saturday, July 8th, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at Lake View Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow at Lake View Perpetual Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday at Cooke Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mildred was born July 27, 1944 in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Tracey and Margaret Owens Caulder. She married the love of her life, Mr. Robert Ray ‘Hot Shot’ Hayes on March 9, 1962. They had four girls. Mrs. Hayes worked for Dillon County as a 911 Dispatch Officer where she retired. She played piano for LVPH Church until her health declined.

Mrs. Mildred is survived by 2 daughters, Tracy Tarte and Tammy Rogers (Tim); a sister, Sandra Brumbles (Kenny); 5 brothers, Harold Caulder (Laura), Fred Caulder (Beverly), Teddy Caulder (Frances), Garland Caulder, and Jerry Caulder; 11 grand children, 27 great grand children, 6 great-great grand children with 2 more on the way; and multiple nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Mrs. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ray “Hot Shot’ Hayes; 2 daughters, Angela Carter and Sherry Perritt; a son, Robert Lawrence Hayes; 2 sisters, Faye Jackson and Christabelle Ayers; and a brother, Johnny Caulder.

Mrs. Mildred loved her family but first and foremost, she loved her Lord and Savior. She gets the last word by saying “I love you the most!, I LOVE YOU ALL!!
