Mrs. Martha H. Barfield, 81, died Monday, March 2, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Florence.

A funeral service will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will follow at Lake View Perpetual Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.

Mrs. Barfield was born in Marion County, the daughter of the late Gurnie Franklin and Mary Caulk Hayes. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake View.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Barfield; son, Monty Barfield (Julie); daughters, Gina Davis (Matt); grandchildren, Julianna Barfield and Ryan Davis; brother, Marion Hayes (Sharon); sisters, Virginia Leggett, Mary Frances Pierce (Ronald), Linda Watford (Bobby) and Jeanette Herring.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Hayes, Carlyle Hayes, R. C. Hayes, Don Hayes, Glenn Hayes, and Wade Hayes; and sister, Onita Hayes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View.
