Mrs. Lois Berry

Mrs. Lois Berry, 81, went home to be with the Lord March 4, 2022 at McLeod Hospice House after a brief illness.

A funeral service will be Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 pm at Kemper Baptist Church of Lake View. The family will receive friends Sunday at 2:00 pm, at the church prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, directed by Cooke Funeral Home.

Mrs. Berry was born July 29, 1940 in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Irene Miller Davis. She was a member of Kemper Baptist Church. She worked in textiles until retirement where she baked cakes and candies for the public.

Surviving Mrs. Berry are her daughter, Marie “Ree” DiRocco (Pete), Thomas Ray Berry (Kathy) of Lake View S.C., Russell Kade Berry (Barbara) of Rossville, Ga; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, William “Billy” Davis and one sister, Carolyn Strickland, both of Lake View; dear friends, Elaine “Boot” Diamond and Dorothy Wheeler; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Kade Berry; two brothers, Robert Davis and Mitchell Davis; two great grandchildren, Kendall Brown and Liam Norris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kemper Baptist Church Youth.
