Linda Clark Rogers
Mrs. Linda Clark Rogers, 69, passed away August 6, 2024, at McLeod Hospital in Florence S.C., during her battle with cancer.
Her funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Lake View, S.C. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View, SC.
Mrs. Rogers was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Lee Arthur and Edna Cox Clark. A longtime member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where she was active in WMU and former clerk of church. She was a long serving member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her clubs included The Dillon Garden Club and Lake View Woman’s Club. One of her most proud moments was fulfilling a lifelong dream to get a Bachelor’s of Arts from Coker College in 2004. She had several jobs over the years including teaching at Dillon School District 3, but her most beloved job was being a stay-at-home mom. Some of her most loved time was in her beautiful garden, cheering for the Tigers on Saturdays, spoiling her two grandsons, and tackling her next craft project. She was a loved member of the Lake View Community and Dillon County.
Mrs. Rogers was proceeded by her husband, Cecil Moody Rogers and brother, Thomas Lee Clark. She is survived by a son, Cecil Lance Rogers (Jennifer) of Mullins, S.C.; two daughters, Lindsey Amanda Rogers of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Leigh Anna Strickland of Myrtle Beach, SC; and two grandsons, Brantley Thomas Rogers and Connor Maddox Strickland; a sister Peggy Hasty (Trey) of Lake View, SC, and brother Glenn Clark of Lake View, SC; Brother-in-Law John C. Rogers (Bonnie) of North Myrtle Beach, SC. And multiple Nieces and Nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church, 152 Piney Grove Road, Lake View, SC.
