DATELINE: LAKE VIEW SC
Leigh Anne Hayes
Miss Leigh Anne Hayes, 36, passed away Tuesday January 9 after an extended illness. She was surrounded by her loving family as she went to be with her Lord and Savior. Leigh Anne touched the lives of so many people in her brief time on this earth. Now she will be one of God’s special angels looking over us while we cope with our loss.
In her earlier years, Leigh Anne liked to swing, swim, and ride bikes. She loved going to the movie theatre to watch Disney movies. She was a thrill seeker and loved to go fast which is why she enjoyed riding horses, jet skis, roller coasters, and 4-wheelers. She also loved going to the beach and wearing her hats. Later in her life, she enjoyed watching TV, listening to music and books, and riding the golf cart. Everybody that knows her knew her favorite colors were pink and black. But most importantly, she loved spending time with her brother, Casey.
Leigh Anne was born November 10, 1987, in Dillon, SC. She was the daughter of Kenny and Penny Rae Hayes. She is survived by her parents, a brother, Casey Hayes, paternal grandparents, Ken and Rebecca Hayes, maternal grandmother, Nellie Miller. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jimmy Ray Miller, and Uncle Jimmy Miller.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, at 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm. The service will take place at First Baptist Church of Lake View.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View or donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
A special thank you to her nurse, Christy Buffkin, and the MUSC Florence staff that cared for and loved on her these last few months like she was one of their own.
