Larry Mitchell King

Mr. Larry King (67) died Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Carlyle Senior Care of Bishopville after an illness.

A graveside service will be Sunday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept 28 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View. Friends and family are also welcome at the home of Angie Rogers, 2114 Rabbit Island Road, Nichols SC 29581.

Mr. King was born in Mullins, the son of the late Alex King and Ernestine K. Powell. In his early life, he enjoyed working on cars as a mechanic. Larry was also a passionate NASCAR fan and enjoyed attending races each year with his family and friends. His infectious smile and positive outlook on life made him an inspiration to many. He loved his family dearly and was eager to help in any way possible. He was a huge Clemson fan and proudly wore his orange.

He is survived by a son, Robert King; sisters, Jean Herring (Johnnie), Becky McDonald (Randy), Allie Welch (Alan), Phyllis Spivey (Kenny), Angie Rogers (George), Gwen Miller (Chuck) and Susan Grant (Kirby); brothers, Steve King (Tammy), Jamie King (Susan) and Dan King.
