Mr. Wayne Brewer died Thursday, May 7, 2026, at McLeod Hospice House of Florence after an illness.

A funeral service will be Monday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Holiness Church. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.

Mr. Brewer (79) was born in Dillon County, the son of the late Gary Hubert and Ethel Moody Brewer. He was a graduate of Lake View High School and a member of Trinity Holiness Church. He built the racing track surface for Lake View Speedway and prepared the racing surface before races for over 40 years. He is also an unofficial honorary member of Dillon County Station #3.

He is survived by his son, John Smith (Kayla); grandchildren, Abby Hunt (Nolan) and Hannah Smith, Colton and Leah; great grandchild, Jaxtyn; brother-in-law, Willard Page; special cousins, Ann Barfield and Ruth Strickland; and Cash, his dog.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death his former wife, Helen Brewer; brother, Hubert Brewer; and sister, Cynthia Ann Brewer and Shirley Page.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Holiness Church, 1636 Gaddy's Mill Rd, Dillon SC 29536
