Mr. John F. Bare, 73, died Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his home in Marietta, NC, after an illness.

Mr. Bare was born in Burlington, NC, the son of the late Frank Burman and Annie Laurie Harrington Bare. He retired as a Probation and Parole Officer for Robeson County, where he served several years as the Chief Officer. He also served on the Marietta Town Board and as a Volunteer Firefighter at White House Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Linda K. Bare of the home; daughter, Kendall B. Stephens (Danny); grandchildren, Blayke Stephens and Blaire Stephens; brothers, Thomas L. Bare (Cheryl) and Michael B. Bare (Ann); and sister, Ann Burke (Gary)

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Town of Marietta or White House Fire Dept.
