Gary Barnes

Mr. Gary Barnes, 82, died Monday, July 5, 2021 at his home in Fairmont NC, after an illness.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, July 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Lighthouse of Living Faith Church of Lake View. Burial will follow at Floyd’s Cemetery of Fairmont. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 6th from 6:00 t0 8:00. p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.

Mr. Barnes was born in Marion SC, the son of the late William “Bill” and Chattie Lawson Barnes. He was a retired farmer of the Marietta Community and a member of Lighthouse of Living Faith Church.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Walters Barnes; son, Chris Barnes; daughter, Connie Hayes (Richard); and grandchildren, Daniel Barnes, Rebecca Williams (Jordan), Richard Barnes, Johnathan Barnes, Mariah Barnes and Austin Barnes

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Lynn Barnes.
