Mrs. Eunice Meares

Mrs. Eunice Meares died Monday, January 30 2017, at McLeod Hospital in Dillon after an illness.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, February 1, at 3:00 pm at Meares Family Cemetery of Lake View, SC on Rabbit Island Road. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Mary Ellen Cook at 1205 Kemper Church Road, Lake View.

Mrs. Meares was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late W. P. and Bertha Huggins Grantham. She was a member of Kemper Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School to all ages and was member of the choir. She loved her flowers and loved her friends.

Mrs. Meares is survived by a son, Milford Meares of Eastover; and a daughter, Mary Ellen Cook (Homer) of Lake View; 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. F. Meares; daughters, Elaine Meares and Roselyn Meares; brothers, Gary Grantham, Rhodell Grantham, Shelbourn Grantham; and sister, Sara Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
