Eddie Claude Barfield

Mr. Eddie Claude Barfield died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at McLeod Medical Center of Dillon.

A graveside service will be Friday, May 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Barfield Cemetery, 4248 Tobacco Rd., Orrum NC. The family will receive friends May 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.

Mr. Barfield was born in Mullins, SC, the son of the late Jasper Claude and Frances Ivey Barfield. He was a contractor for many years before retiring. He grew up in Oakdale Baptist Church and was a youth leader.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Butler Barfield; son, Christopher Brian Barfield; granddaughter, Ruby Jo Barfield; and sister, Ruby Williamson (Danny) of Maxton, NC.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Becky Barfield Freeman.
