Mrs. Donna Sims (64) died Monday, May 13, 2024, at her home in Lake View SC after an illness.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 2:00 at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.

Mrs. Sims was born in Mullins SC, the daughter of the late JD and Eva Merle Smith Rogers. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Lake View. She was a retired teacher from Lake View Elementary. She attended Coker University where she graduated with a BA Degree in Elementary Education.

She is survived by her husband, David Sims; daughter, Heather McKenzie (Chris) and Marie Fastenau (Paul); grandchildren; Ethan Hardee, Eric Hardee, Jackson McKenzie (Brittany), Bryson McKenzie, Cooper Fastenau and Matthew Fastenau; and great grandchild, Miller Sue McKenzie.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dewey Edward Cox; and sisters, Joan Carol Rogers and Sue Rogers Reaves.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View.
