Charles Ray Walters

Mr. Charles Ray Walters died January 3, 2026, at his home in Lake View, SC.

Mr. Ray was born in Dillon County, the son of the late Charles Lynn Walters and Rosa Lee Watts. Along with his wife, he owned and operated Ray's Well Drilling for 25 years. He was a hard worker and provided for his family. He had a deep love for his wife, children and grandchildren, and this love was returned in full by them.

Ray also had a rich love for life and lived his to the fullest. He shared his love of the water and fishing with his son, Shane. He instilled his love for tinkering and working on cars in his youngest son, Nash, and his love for animals was passed down to his only daughter, Nikki. Ray also had a passion for working on and riding motorcycles and watching Western films. And his dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Audrey Walters; sons, Shane Tyler Walters (Olivia) and Charles "Nash" Walters (Jennifer); daughter, Nikki Elizabeth Walters (Derek); and 6 grandchildren, Tatum, Corbin, Bryn, Dakota, Ellis and Ryan. Ray also had many nieces and nephews he loved greatly.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles "Ryan" Walters; brother, Ricky Walters; and sister, Lissa Walters.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
