Callie A. Harris
Apr 4, 1940 – Jun 4, 2026

With a sadness of loss but the assurance of faith in our Lord’s promises, the family of Callie A. Harris announce her passing on June 4, 2026. After a diagnosis and short battle with cancer, surrounded by family our mom went to be with the Lord.

Mom was born in Red Bay, AL and was the daughter of Fannie Neola Frederick and Thomas Edwin Frederick. Mom was a homemaker for years helping to raise her children. Once on her own again she worked to support herself while earning her GED and later a degree in computer programming. She worked several vocations before finally retiring as a CNA in the Lake View area.

Mom loved being outdoors whether it was just sitting, fishing, gardening, or yard work. She was a force to be reckoned with when she was determined to accomplish a task. Mom was also a very talented seamstress, and artistically talented in crafting, cross-stitching, and painting.

Mom is survived by her children: Debra Liggin (Bud), Sherry Harris, and Robin Harris (Terrie), five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Perrin of Shannon, MS, Judy Berg of

Bay City, TX, and one brother, Jerry Frederick of Memphis TN. Mom also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, one sister, (Sharon Wright), and one brother (Edwin Frederick).

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
