Betty Collins Smith

Mrs. Betty Collins Smith passed away September 5, 2022 in Loris, surrounded by family, from a brief illness.

Mrs. Smith was a long-standing member of Lake View United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bird watching which led her to start raising chickens. She enjoyed quality time with each one of her grandchildren and the small talks held between them. She never passed up the chance to travel and go on adventures no matter where they would take her.

Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Jimmy L. Smith; son, Jeff Smith; and daughter, Jill S. McCrackin.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann S. Huggins (Robert); son-in-law, Eric McCrackin; daughter-in-law, Jenni Smith; grandchildren, Todd Huggins (Heather), Mindy Campbell (Wayne), Zack Huggins (Ali), Justis Smith, Koby Smith (Sarah Catherine), Brody Smith (Tamara), Keaton McCrackin (Ashley), Erika McCrackin (Danny), and 14 great grandchildren.

May she rest in peace and let the light of the Lord surround those who mourn her.

A graveside service will be Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Lake View Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home, at 1102 Richard Temple Blvd., Lake View.
