Mrs. Ann M. Cooke

Mrs. Ann M. Cooke, 87 died Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at McLeod-Dillon after an illness.

The funeral will be Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will follow at Lake View Perpetual Cemetery, directed by Cooke Funeral of Lake View. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Lake View.

Mrs. Cooke was born in Lake View, SC, the daughter of the late Hoyt and Addie Arnette Moody. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Lake View, until her health declined. She was a member of the church choir and was responsible for organizing church dinners and for meals for families when they lost loved ones. She was organized and people loved her cooking. She loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her children: Tony Ray Cooke, Richard Cooke (Lisa), and Barbara Ann Arnette (Edison); grandchildren: Richard Cooke, Jr. (Taylor), Brooks Arnette (Danielle), Avonlea Barnhill (Colton), Mackenzie Arnette (Sydnee), Anna Marie Cooke, Hayden Cooke, and Gabrielle Cooke; great grandchildren: Easton Barnhill, Brayden Cooke, Saylor Arnette, Annelise Barnhill, Elli Arnette, Lacy Cooke, and Waylon Arnette; brother, Gene Moody; sisters: Maudine Sanderson (Jimmy), Luna Moody, and Martha Britt (Jimmy); special family: Gaynelle Barfield, Cassandra Brown and Joseph Hayes.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carlye Cooke; brothers: Jack Moody, Maurice Moody, Neil Moody, Gregg Moody, and Lynn Moody; sister, Adeline Moody.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lake View, PO Box 397, Lake View, SC 29563.
