Albert B. Barfield, Jr.

Mr. Albert B. Barfield, Jr. died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his home in Lake View SC after an illness.

A funeral service will be Sunday, May 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Kemper Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will follow at Barfield-Ford Cemetery. The family will receive friends May 14th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cooke Funeral Home of Lake View.

Mr. Barfield was born in Marion County, the son of the late A. B. and Kathleen Moody Barfield. He was a member of Bermuda Baptist Church. He loved his family, his friend Cash, tinkering on the farm and racing. He participated in outreach programs to assist Gulf War Veterans and children of third world countries.

He was survived by his nephew Scott Barfield (Samantha); niece, Brandie Barfield (Shad); great nephews, Samuel Armstrong and Kyle Grice; great nieces, Abbigail Armstrong, Sierra Lindsay and McKenzie Grice; great great niece, Sadie Lindsay, special niece, Sawyer Rose Barfield; and special friends, John L. Davis and Ace Cox.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James R. Barfield and nephew, Eric K. Barfield (Grice).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Lake Waccamaw Boys Home, 400 Flemington Dr., Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450
